Halisi is a brand that means a lot to me because I helped shape it from its earliest spark. From the beginning, I wanted Halisi to feel like more than a premium African brandy—I wanted it to stand for authenticity, ambition, and the richness of African heritage. The brand book captures this beautifully: Halisi celebrates the gifts of the continent, both in its grapes and in its people, and it speaks to those who are constantly striving to elevate themselves. Its message, “The Best Things in Life Are Earned,” reflects the journey so many of us know well—the grind, the resilience, and the satisfaction that comes from rising on our own terms.

My role as creative director and designer allowed me to shape this identity at every stage—from helping name the brand to defining the visual world it lives in. I crafted the look, tone, and personality of Halisi so that everything—from the logo to the packaging to the storytelling—felt bold, rooted, and purposeful. The creative pillars like “Grind to Shine” and “Constant Elevation” guided how I expressed the brand’s mix of luxury, cultural consciousness, and unapologetic pride. It was important to me that Halisi not only look premium, but feel like a symbol of connection across the African Diaspora and a tribute to the creators, dreamers, and doers who inspire it.
